BeXfactor

Bexley’s premier talent contest - BeXfactor is back for 2010, but this year with an added dance element in celebration of the Mayor’s Big Dance project.

Three open sessions were held in may to identify the best of Bexley’s talent and over 100 young people auditioned in front of a panel of highly respected music and dance industry judges.

Since that time, the selected 15 dancers and 26 musicians have been put through their paces by professional musicians and dancers from the Allstars and Dance Physics.

All of the BeXfactor participants will be performing live on the Big Dance Bus stage on July 3rd and the main music stage at the Danson festival on July 4th. all topped off with a grand finale performance with the Allstars and Jocelyn Brown and Dance physics.

in order to make all this happen ,the London Borough of Bexley Arts Service has teamed up with leading professionals from Greenwich Dance agency (www.greenwichdance.org.uk) and Bird College (www.birdcollege.co.uk), who are offering the two winning dancers scholarships to their prestigious summer school, and professional dance company Dance Physics www.dancephysics.co.uk to put together an intensive programme, which has prepared the young people to perform at the Danson festival with their professional mentors.

Music tutors include Allstars guitarist Chris Newland, drummer Tony Mason, singer song-writer Chantelle Duncan, keyboard player Lawrie Bolton, guitarist Mo Nazam with a guestmasterclass from alfie Boe.

BeXfactor just keeps on growing and is part of what makes Danson festival so special.

Ladies and Gentlemen – we present BeXfactor – give them all your support - they deserve it!
